Matt, I love the simplicity and the symmetry. The square format works well. The dried prairie flowers are a nice touch.

Fixed version. Even with 32Gb of RAM, 3.4Ghz Quad Core and an SSD drive, the machine can still bog down

Stunning Cool, love it, just my sort of thing, waxes lyrical at some length. See the one on the left it looks like it has been partially cloned out as it is attached to nothing and is surely a separate plant.

Perhaps I should read the text as well rather than just look at the picture.

IMO there is a little too much space at top but just my thoughts. :toast:

There is something about lonely trees in a snow storm that strikes a cord in me especially when it is as well crafted as this Matt. I especially like the symmetry and foreground plants. It almost looks like they are an audience. Beautiful work.

I certainly can't disagree with all of the positive comments you received from others. Well deserved. When I first saw this as a thumbnail, my brain told me it was a bunch of people looking at the tree. No idea why they were looking, but the idea in my brain just gave me a chuckle. Nice work on this.

I think the symbolism and metaphorical qualities of this image, along with the strength of the visual design, and beauty of the forms individually, and together, make this a very compelling work of art. Awesome!

This is way cool! Getting complete separation between the thistles and the tree works wonderfully and the hint of trees and your placement of the slope in the distance make for a great comp. I do see the "flying thistle" in the original, but hadn't given it much thought until I saw the repost...ahh the joys of complex software, can't live without it and sometimes you wish you didn't have to live with it.
