This is a shot from last friday morn. Since we got finally some snow here over christmas friday morning was perfect to drive to the "Emmental", mostly a farming region between the big cities and the swiss alps to realise a photo idea that had been on my mind for quiet some time. And the conditions were perfect, snow on the trees, fog in the valley below, some clouds but a perfect crissp clear winter day.

View from "Chuderhüsi" over the "Emmental" to the Swiss Alps.

Very nice. Good star burst on the rising sun. For me, the best part is the wonderful light on the foreground snowy trees. As such, I might consider a pano crop, removing some of the sky to direct the eye more towards the trees. Lovely scenery, wish I was there. :toast:

Warm…enchanting… yet..biting and cold. Love the mix of foreground and distant fog, motns and sky. Would have liked a tad more in the foreground… just to see closer view of trees with bountiful snow. Super shot!

I like those foreground trees; the light on them is great. Nicely done; you captured the golden glow of the low sun but still kept that cold look. :toast:

What a shot Bill, this is surely a beauty! Can't see how to change this to be much better.
