Going to close out 2013 with a final iris shot. Another view with strong back light and I did use a little fill flash to fill in some of the darker shadowed areas. All comments welcome and a Happy New Year to all of you who make this the finest Flora gallery on the planet. >=))>

Ooooh, the dark background with the backlit vertical petal(?) makes for a very dramatic and rich colored beauty, Bill! What a finale. Like the end of a fireworks show. Definite ooohs and ahhhhs for this one! I don't know how you will tip this series, but knowing you, it will happen.

Beautiful low key lighting Bill, I am in love with the light on the right hand side pedal and the little flare . Beautifully crafted !
