Thompson Range, Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
I'm aware of the washed out sky, but in all candor, I'm ok with it in this shot.

I like the diagonal lines caused buy the colors in the trees. The mountains in the background give a sense of place, the Great Smoky Mountains.

Nice layers and lines in the trees. I like the sweep from left to right and the weaving of colored leaves and bare branches.

I like it, but would try to open up the shadows a little more.

Very nice, but a crop that just leaves the foreground is an amazing abstract.

This has a very special beauty. The detail in the bare trees combined with the colors and shapes make this engaging and different.

Very nice take on past peak colors, Michael. The diagonal colors against the rest of the frame work quite well here.

Shoot.. this is really awesome. Complex and very different layering here. I can see John's point on crop but I think leaving in the blue horizon gives the image another dimension and sets it apart. Really love this one
