Maples here in Kingwood, Texas are still dropping leaves. Set up and waited for some action. Not sure if this works or not so C&C welcomed.

Rick - Love the selective focus on the brown leaf that is stuck in the bark. I like the idea but for me if the leaf were to be with just the sky as the backdrop, it would have been better - background foliage merge makes a wee bit confusing.

Rick: Is the leaf stuck in the bark or actually falling? Looks like a flight shot to me. I like the receding DOF. Well done.>=))>

Interesting image, and I like the comp and perspective, Rick. Like Bill, I assumed from your description that you caught this leave falling, and given the sharpness and overall comp, I think this is well done. However, absent your description, I would have assumed, as evidently Ram did, that the leaf stem was stuck in the bark, and then the image doesn't impress me as much, if this makes any sense. I guess what I am saying is that this would be even better if it was clear that the leaf was caught in mid-air.

A very artistic take in this one, Rick. I like that the leaf is the main subject, and you isolated it extremely well.
