I noticed this small group of doves in our back yard setting in the sun in the most protected from the wind corner of our fence. They seemed to be enjoying the sun.

I like this as posted. It is simple and effective. It shows what we see here in Phoenix in our back yard - the doves always find a spot protected from the breeze and in the sun whenever the temps drop at all.

A nice slice of reality, John. Nothing dramatic but something that animals do to save energy in this stressful time of year for them. I'll bet they feel pretty comfy warm in the sun and out of the wind.

Nice job getting so many poses in the same frame. My art professors always warned to, "watch out for trapped corners." What they meant was that a strong line creating a small triangle in the corner of a composition leads away from the subject and disrupts the viewers eye as it moves around the piece . . . for whatever that's worth!
