A Happy Child
by Philip Hodgkins
My wife and I will be taking a road trip this Christmas, to Tucson and San Francisco. My son and family in Australia will be spending Christmas with her parents, who run a B & B in Tucson. We are driving out there to be with them, then on to SF to spend some time with my wife's daughter. We both plan to take pictures when we can, but they will be mostly family stuff and whatever we run into along the way, so I will only be in sporadic touch. We will be back home by January 6 or so.
This picture was taken at our church's Christmas pageant. One of our parishioners that I have known since she was a preteen is now a mother of 3 in her own right. This is her daughter, who is the happiest baby I have ever seen, with a smile and a touch for everyone. It brought a big ole lump to my throat when I saw this, so I thought I would share it. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas!
