Copper Dome Clocks

The three-story buff brick building with terra cotta and limestone details was built in the Beaux-Arts style, with extended porticos on each side with triple-arched entrances. A copper dome with clocks on each side sits in the center of the roof with a blindfolded statue of Themis on top, holding scales and a sword.

I focused on this upper portion of the buildings architecture, & unique copper dome for this shot..

Nik Silver Efex for the processing.

In all candor, the dome and statue are pretty dark, and, IMO, take a backseat to the rest of the building. In fact, they blend into the sky so well that I didn't notice them until AFTER I read your post. But considering that you want this area to be the star of the show, I'd reconsider your processing choices on this. (I'd also straightened up the building somewhat, unless you specifically want the converging lines)

Thanx for your feedback Michael, I really appreciate another set of eyeballs on this.
As for the copper dome clock? All I can say in defense is that oxidized copper's a dark brown as you may know.
I already selectively lightened it some.
So it will always appear to take the 'backseat', to the building's light limestone color.
I'll go back to the original and take another look..

Lightened dome and adjacent area RT.
CCW rotation of .5 degrees, making a tighter comp.

Reminds me of our old Richmond courthouse. Looks like you and I are both having fun with black and white lately. :wavey:
