I recently passed this place and the house is now being restored. The old gate, scrubby trees and grass are all gone. Glad I was able to photograph the place when I did.

I like the use of natural framing, combined with the vignette effect David.
It really puts the focus on you subject well..
Has an eerily kind of 'Hitchcock' look to it IMO.

This works great. A haunting atmosphere is conveyed. The natural framing works extremely well, not forced at all, adding a lot to the image.
