Shot this in Cherokee National Forest several years back while visiting Jerry Greer for a workshop. I awakened before sunrise for the drive home and this presented itself to me.

The mountain is well disguised, Bill. This is neat with the swirling clouds and the perfectly exposed moon. It has a very dreamy feeling.

Man is this sweet! It takes a little while to get a grip on what exactly is in the foreground. The fog covering the mountain, especially the edge where it rises up as a cloud, combined with the sharpness of the moon sitting above it all makes for a compelling image. The processing looks fantastic and the composition could not be better. Did I say I liked this? :toast:  :toast:

Like David said, it took a bit to digest what was going on with the foreground, but excellent image. Very unique and engaging conditions and it turned out great.

I agree with Harley that it takes a minute to digest what's going on, and that's a good thing because the image is more engaging with the mystery. The tones and contrast look great, Bill.

Nice. The moon adds some balance and counterpoint to the clouds. Wonder about increasing contrast in the clouds to add additional texture to add interest.

Even after looking at this for a bit, I'm still not sure I'm seeing what others are. Regardless, I really like it!
