I only got to spend 1 night at Maroon Bells but did enjoy a fun little hike up to Crater Lake for sunset.

Nice perspective on a heavily-photographed place. Your composition creates some great depth too. Nicely done.

Great beauty Glen. The gold on the far shore is really special. I do pine for something more in the llc, but everything beyond the immediate foreground is exquisite.

This is a somewhat different and refreshing rendition of this iconic location. As John commented, more color in the lower left corner would have been a plus. I wonder if this could have been achieved from a vantage point slightly to the right.

Glenn, nice view and flaring clouds. My initial thought was expressed by Jim in that a shift to the right would have put more color in the LLC and, to me, put a balance between the angling shoreline and the bush.

I like Crater for it's different perspective of the Bells. I like your comp here, and the natural color. The clouds add to the appeal as well.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your critiques. My original comp here had the yellow bush to the left but after reviewing it decided the logs down by the waters edge in the bottom right corner were really messy and too distracting.

Although I'd like to see a stronger element in the LLC, the image works for me. I really like the mountains and the sky.
Ya done good, here, Glenn.
