Whitewater Falls

I think that Whitewater Falls at a height of about 400 feet is the highest east of the Rockies. This is only the top section of the falls from the upper overlook. I set around in the rain for almost 2 hours and finally a break in the clouds and it was like natures own studio lighting on the wet leaves and bolders. A rather nice day.

I really like this - great colours and a lovely waterfall. The separate vails of water helps the eye to move around in the image and then finally settle in the larger flow on the right. Nice.

Keith:

I'd say your 2 hour wait was well worth it! This is beautiful. The trees and wet rocks shimmer in the sweet light, nicely saturated without going overboard. I like the way the lower and upper trees frame the falls.

Excellent all around! Thanks for sharing.

Well worth the wait,Keith. The saturated greens of the foliage and the earthtones of the rocks are wonderful.

Pretty much perfect, in my view. Where is Whitewater Falls, besides east of the Rockies? TN?

There's alot to like about this one; the colors, the composition, the quality of the light. Very nice. (Looks like there might be some good possibilities down among the wet rocks if you can get down there.)

The wait was worth it Keith. The light brings up the greens very nicely. Did you take any during the rain?, I'm sure there are more photos there besides this one.
