Taken at Bolsa Chica Eco Reserve, Huntington Beach, CA. My first time seeing and capturing an image of a Surf Scoter flying. They make an enjoyable sound when they first take flight.

Good detail/focus and I like this wings forward pose a lot Harry.

Nice, Skip. Excellent wing position and a nice look at the eye. Exposure and focus look good. I think I'd take some off the bottom, as I don't think the partial reflection adds much and if feels a bit empty down there.

I have always wanted to see one of these...we just don;t get them here except under really are circumstances. Love the light, wing position and angle. Nice work.
