Normally a Tiger fight results in very serious injury or death, this time as we discovered the following morning it was a fairly bad leg injury.
Both of these Tigers live in a 60,000 hectare reserve and hopefully will not be considered to be captive

Nice action capture of captive :jump: ... Opps, free roaming tigers. Compositionally could've been better.

The blood certainly makes it interesting, but it is graphic enough to probably keep it off most walls! I think maximum impact would be from a tighter portrait-like vertical crop or a wider presentation showing surroundings. As is, the perspective on cut off bodies feels imbalanced, imo.

Ken, Nice capture of the stark realities of nature. It is too bad that you did not have more room for the bodies of the tigers. Perhaps a square crop may featuring the heads and upper bodies of the tigers may be an option..

Thanks everybody. the composition was dictated by the fact that I did not have a wider angle lens readily available, we were much too close, very frustrating, my wife did get it on video though

This must have been amazing to witness, I'm sure the audio alone would be too much for some. Heck, your sense of smell was likely even involved in this event! Definitely dispells any idea that these handsome beast are always pristine in appearance and only have to worry about knocking down some prey once in a while.

The composition isn't too bad really, might work going even tighter perhaps, or vertical as Lon mentioned.

Brutal Ken. It must have been enthralling but agonising to watch.
Composition wise since you can't go wider I would go tighter with a vertical crop that chops 15%-20% from each side. :toast:

Given all of the suggestions regarding the crop, I have given it a try, I have added canvas at the top

I love this one Ken, other than the blood of course. The intensity of the look on the darker tiger's face is palpable. Great comp, DOF and action in this one.
