Mallow Flower

A small flower about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Grows pretty wild and a favourite with Green Bees.

ND300s, AFD200mm F/4 Micronikkor, 1/100 Sec, ƒ/11, ISO 400 and Tripod. May be an Extension Tube was used but not sure.

Large Version

All comments and suggestions as always very welcome.

Beautiful…dainty at only 1-1.5 inches…The large version is a 'must-see' to appreciate the details and application of blur. I am indifferent on the leaf crop. That made this a tough one to frame and handle. Well done.

Hi Ram,
This is a photo without competition. Excellent light, nicely balanced colors and superb textures. The differential focus is perfect. Very well done.

Well done, Ram. Beautiful subject and bg with excellent dof management for both.

Very nice Ram. The leaf hiding the blurred bloom in the bg is a slight bummer but not a deal breaker. I don't see the large version option Ken refers to?

Hi Ram

I can better see the superb detail in the large version

You captured perfectly the intrinsic beauty of this mallow.

Love the pin sharp centre, Ram, and the overall dof. The projecting leaf is beautifully set for leading the eye into the frame - a very lovely image !

That is a gorgeous little flower! And, so is your environmental portrait! Great color, light, comp, and dof.
