After severe trips to San Luis NWR to photograph elk, I finally was lucky to photograph a single bull. The lighting was not great. I tried to correct it by using NikSoftware.

Hi Floyd,
Even though the lighting may not have been the greatest, the glow on the chin, back, and tail adds a nice touch. The green in the trees appears unusual. I might see what it looks like with the grass burned in a little if it was mine.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Very nice image of the bull. I agree with Randy, if you can cool the grass down a bit, it would strengthen the image.

Hi Floyd. Well done to have the perseverance to return to the area and get the elk photo. The color palette in this photo seems off a bit, too orange I think. Would have to see the original really in order to see what might need to be done, if anything. I think that the elk seems slightly soft, would expect a bit more with this lens and teleconverter.
