New Arrival

I found this black-tail buck on today's trip to the nature area. A new buck to me based on his antlers. He was kind of wet in places so I think he swam across the river to check out the does over here. He gave me a nice pose and I had several images to choose from. My wife thought this was better than my other choice so I went with this. No complaints about the pose and a nice BG to show off his antlers. I didn't have to do too much to get this ready. Mostly adding or subtracting small amounts with the sliders. My goal today was to get sharper images so I went without the teleconverter figuring that with the rut I would be able to still get reasonable distances for shooting. Your comments and critiques are welcome and appreciated.

Well made, with good detail and a regal pose. The BG really sets off his rack nicely.

Huge step up in terms of sharpness and general image quality from some of your previous images Peter, presumably as a result of loosing the teleconverter ! Like the "stacked" pose he gave you, couldn't be nicer.

Nice image Peter. One of my favorites of your blacktail series. The pose is really exceptional and the antlers show up well against the dark background. Dave
