Winter's Approach

I took this shot in the early morning a few days after the last leaves had gone from this ( I think ) red oak. The location, known locally as ` the meadow ' ( but too wooded for that ) is a favourite of mine, as a rare piece of untouched land in a large urban area.

This was an experiment for me, shooting a scene into the sun, and I'd be grateful especially for any comments or suggestions in that respect.

Canon 400D, 18-55mm lens @ 18mm, 1/320 sec @ f11, -0.67ev, ISO 400, hh.

Ian, I think this is good composition. I wouldn't be afraid to take the shadows up a notch brighter, but I like this very much.

Beautiful capture of morning light. I like the way the warmth of the rays seem to be encroaching on the wooded meadow. Lovely image.

I think the low sun imparts the message you wanted to convey here, Ian. A feeling that changes are on the way. Lovely colors as well.
