You're thinking "Gosh, that looks vaguely familiar." ;) This was from my first visit to North Coyote Buttes last month. Might as well shoot the icon in front of me. Pretty amazing place. Your C&C always appreciated.

[Repost below with reflection lightened about 2/3 stop.]

This image may seem iconic, but catching this pothole full of water is actually kind of rare in this harsh land, so congratulations on that score. Blessed with clouds, as well! You must live right, Jared.
The only thing I might do different is to brighten up the reflection just a tad.

Beautiful take on the Wave. You got water and clouds. What more could you ask for, except maybe a cold beer vendor when you got there? I like John's suggestion, but real nice as presented.

Thanks, John. You were kind enough to offer the suggestion on lightening the reflection on a similar version elsewhere; I did lighten but was maybe scared to take it too far. Looks like I've got some room still. Don't know about living right- I just do my best and hope that's enough.

Beautiful image Jared. I really like how all of the lines create an "X" in the center of the image...great use of the reflection. I agree with John about lightening up the the reflection just a bit.

I'm right there with John. The lower half really needs some brightening to even the tones some, but wow, is this ever a strong image from this place. Great color, dynamism, and comp. :toast:

Ok, here it is again with the reflection lightened about 2/3 stop. What do you think? Not enough, too much, or just right? Thanks for your feedback!

Jared, I sure am enjoying this image. Excellent work with your comp here and I love the light and color. The reflection makes such an interesting scene and all the lines look fantastic. I think your repost with the brighter reflection works great! Very nice work! :toast:
