SF Bay Black and White

by Kathy Barnhart

It is rare to see someone swimming or even bobbing around in SF Bay, especially in November. I saw this young man at sunset and low tide, and thought since the color was pretty dull that it would be best as a B and W.

Canon 5d, M3, IS0400, 1/125, 58 mm, f/11.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Good processing. Very dramatic and mysterious mood you have created here. Good choice on b&w.

Lots of interesting textures and layering here which suit the monochrome treatment well.

Beautiful cityscape! I am really enjoying the dramatic sky with the swirls on the sand. The person adds a real nice dimension to the city scene, too.

Nice! The fg lines are effective in drawing the viewer in.
