The Enemy (WC 610)
by Wayne Jones
Since before the age of the dinosaurs, the enemy has been attacking animals large and small, drinking our blood. Transmitter of disease; the cause of itchy bumps; singer of the most annoying high-pitched buzzing; homing in on our bodies like thieves in the dark when honest flies are asleep. Could the Earth live without them? Maybe the little aquatic and aerial predators could find something else to eat.

Well done!
Nasty little boogers.....
Man those things are irritating critters. I can recall as kids heating up a pocket knife with a can of Sterno while were camping and lancing the bites all of our bodies. The pain from the knife burn was better then the itchy lump from these disease carriers.
To add to the story on these nasty things my Dad fought malaria most of his life after contracting the disease in the south pacific during WWII........
