Hi Everyone:

Here's a shot of an immature Bald Eagle from my recent trip up to Alaska to photograph eagles. I have a bunch of new images that I plan to share in future posts.

Not Baited or called in any way, just a very close fly by!

Canon 5D Mark III
500mm f/4 with 1.4x TC
1/800 @ f/5.6 ISO 1600
Approximately 90% of full frame

NR applied to background.

Love the nice, tight look, it makes for a lot of impact and all the detail stands out.

Lovely flight shot, Keith. I've about concluded that you have to clip part of the wings if you're going to get the eye to pop on these immature birds. This worked very well.

A sweet close-up landing shot of this youngster Keith. Excellent detail right where it counts.
