Lorna, the leading lines lend the crane a sense of height and danger (it looks like you were underneath those heavy hooks). I too have experimented with HDR and in my opinion your first attempt looks good and not overdone like so many HDR pictures that we have all seen. :toast:

I don't care if it looks HDR or not, this is a striking, graphic image.

Thanks Guys, I was a little unnerving lying under these while trying to edit out BG items with the view finder and the wind picking up,and of course I never brought my wide angle with me so this was it.

Really bright, graphic colors but not obviously HDR ish to me. It is definitely an interesting POV. Well done.Lorna. Chet

The POV makes this special, evoking an emotional response IMO.
Great lines & I like that one can see the weight capacity numbers also.
Nice work, especially for your first attempt at HDR.
I'm fairly new to HDR, and tended to over-cook em' at first..
Well done Lorna:toast:

Lorna,
What a great image, it is rugged yet graceful; in your face and yet with a real sense of distance. Great eye and well captured.
The wide angle may have helped a bit as the boom arm feels crowded at the top and needs more room.
Well Done . . .

Lorna: If you don't do another HDR in your life you can know that you went out a winner. Really cool subject and powerful colors. Good vision, good photography. >=))>
