Welcome Jeff and great first post.
The detail and vertical crop are very nice, the magnification detail in the water droplets is outstanding.
Well done . . .

I like how your portrait comp includes the forelegs, and the water droplets add well Jeff.
Great exposure, color, and detail, with the contrasting green of the BG setting this off nicely.
Welcome

Welcome to NPN and the Macro & Close up Gallery, Jeff. Judging from this first post, you'll be a great addition to the community. Impressive macro image of this dragonfly. I like the head on perspective and the detail.

The details in the face and eyes are great, especially that one drop and how it's magnifiying the eye segments. Excellent first post, welcome to NPN!

Thanks for the comments. It was only in the upper 40's that morning, so the bugs in this prairie were still covered in dew and a bit sluggish which made the slower shutter speeds possible. This one was just starting to clean itself off and flew away about 10 minutes after I took this photo. If you look close, you can see the reflection of my camera in the dew drop in the middle of it's forehead.
