A Wall of Color
by Bill Leggett
I just returned from GSMNP yesterday, and was fortunate to have timed it just right, the best colors I've ever seen there. They were at their peak at the lower elevations, and although on Thursday conditions were overcast, when there was a bit more light it made the colors really pop. This was along Little River Road at an overlook close to Sugarlands visitor center. I liked the fact that the colors were at peak, and there were some conifers mixed in to add some interest. No saturation of original, just a bit of adjustment to exposure. Larger image is included, which I had to dumb down quite a bit to fit under 500K.
