Last Ray on Blueberry Mt

I shot this (from a different viewpoint on the same mountain) the same day as my last post. I had a difficult time lining this up, since I was close to the edge of a cliff, and also close to the the higher cliff on the left. That prevented me from fitting in any more of the rocks on the left, but I decided to keep them in the shot rather than putting the dead tree -- which I really like -- right at the edge of the view. I was not able to get closer to the dead tree on the left, but I wanted to include it, so this ended up being a really wide pano, with six vertical frames.

Please see the larger version!

Canon 5D3
Canon 24-105mm.; Circ. Pol.
1/20 sec. @ f/16; ISO 160
Six vertical frames stitched in CS6

Gorgeous, Wayne. You have some superb Adirondack landscapes, and this one ranks right up there. Amazing colors in sweet light. :toast:

My god, Wayne, where are you finding these places? Your stuff beats everything I've seen coming out of the West this year. This is beautiful/gorgeous! Love the last light coming in from the right and the dead tree (white pine?) is a nice touch. Exquisite colors. Only nit is that I wasn't there. Keep 'em coming.

Fantastic shot!!!! :toast:

I am wondering what it would look like if the blow out area on the right top was toned down a hair.

Beautiful autumn tapestry, Wayne. The rocks and the tree on the left add a nice element, adding to the feeling of being there, and that lovely light can't be beat.

Again, this is really gorgeous, love the pano and the colors and light are so natural looking, you put me right into the scene. Your last few shots are definitely going to make beautiful prints. Beautifully seen and presented. Take care Wayne, love your work.

Wayne, the view here I think works very well. The stitching made for another nice pano take on this amazing colorful area. The light stream adds nicely to that upper area too. This scene does not look over polarized either. Nice work here.

Beautiful light. I also, like the old tree--such character--and I'm glad you decided to keep it. This turned out pretty fabulous for such a difficult comp. Very nicely done
