Ready for Winter

I photographed this Grizzly recently in Glacier National Park. The bear looks well prepared for winter. I like this shot because of the colorful leaves in the background and the upturned back paw.

Comments, critique and suggestions always welcome.

Happy Shooting
Jack

Tech stuff: Canon7D, Canon EF500mm/f5 IS, f/5.6, 1/1000 sec, ISO-400, tripod. Image crop 20% Top and right

Jack I like the turn of the bear and the paw as well. I think you could adjust your levels to increase contrast a touch on the bear and lower the highlights. (would need some layer work). But might be worth the effort. :toast:

The colorful vegetation and active walking stride really do enhance this image. I think you can bring out a little more reflective highlight in the eyes...and perhaps work on retrieving maximum detail in the surrounding snow to really make this capture. Excellent post.

An awsome image Jack!
Love the color, the look back profile and the nice complimentary BG!
