Beautiful Image, a nice change from all the sunset reds. I find the first comp a bit more pleasing to my eyes.

Very pretty scene with nice colors and reflection Bruce. Nice to see a daylight shot from here. Very nice.

Glad to see a shot from the PNWNP forum weekend Bruce; hopefully there will be more. I was out last weekend, unable to join up this one unfortunately.
The foreground grasses are a great bottom layer, and lead nicely into the photo. I love the fall color on the far shore (it looks like you guys caught it just right?), and it's always nice to catch the mountain out. I'm a golden light addict, so I'd like to see the same shot early or late, but this works well as is. I prefer the original version.

Nice work in full sun, and very nice clarity.
Either one works for me, the FG grasses add a lot...

Cool shot! I liked this comp when you were shooting it ...and I still like it. This version flows left to right and pleases me. Good colors... water was not glass smooth ...but, hey.... The grasses add interest to the foreground and was a smart move to include them. Like John W said, the golden hour was preferred...but, then again we had Conboy Meadows that awaited .... Ken S

Well, it's beautiful in full sun, Bruce. The colors are very pretty together and I like your comp. The first post seems to flow better for me and just feels better overall imo. Very nice!

Sidelight is great, but I'm glad you didn't neglect the beauty that exists between sunrise and sunset. Beauty does not hide when photographers loaf.
As others have mentioned, you have a nice combination of elements well-composed. I generally don't like "flopping" images of recognizable landscapes. The former editor of a magazine that I frequently contribute to was once embarrassed when a reader familiar with the subject of a photo, caught a "flopped" image and wrote a letter to the Editor, complaining that the photo was "faked" because it was "impossible." To his credit, the editor ran the letter, and explained that he regretted reversing the photo for artistic effect, and in effect played a bit loose with facts.

Thanks for all the comments.
I hear you Wayne.....an excellent point. I think the flopped version doesn't work as well for me anyway maybe because the grass is flowing against the way my eye wants to move through the image.

Nice shot for midday Bruce! Wish I could have been there with you all. And I prefer the original version, since I'm a lefty and all...
