Purple River

We had a very wet summer and, as a result, a profusion of False Foxglove (Agalinis fasciculata), in our otherwise dry scrubby flatwoods. This was taken just at dawn's first light while fog still lingered. Wasn't sure if I should post this here or landscape, but the flowers are really the key element.

Nikon D300s, 12-24mm with circular polarizer
f16 @ 20 sec, ISO 100

Been a while since I've posted so thanks for looking

Wonderful perspective, Reed, with fine lighting and, for me, the perfect choice of horizon position, enlivened by the misty light among the trees. Beautiful image !!

Reed - It fits into the Flora Gallery, no issues. Love the use of False Foxglove as the foreground and also the trees against the fog. There is just enough shadows to provide some depth to the scene.
