Thanks everyone for your comments and input on my previous post. :wavey:

This one shows limestone rocks on the coast of New Caledonia's main island. To me, they looked like a remote outpost on the edge of the world. Beyond only water...

Blend of 2 exposures, please view large.

Karsten, This is very nice. Quite a view and I love the soft kind of misty mood this has. The light in the sky looks wonderful. I can see your thoughts about the remote outpost as well. Very nice!

The darker view of this scene seems to add to the mood of the "remote outpost" thoughts you had on the image. The sunburst as a backdrop helps and is a nice contrast to the otherwise somber look overall.

That is a wonderful view of the sun and rays in the distance. The extra detail in the larger view sure lets the foreground hills add nicely to the scene. The dark, moody foreground and the bright warm sun sure make for an interesting contrast.

Wow, I can't believe how few comments this has Karsten. It's very nice. It really sings in the large version. I love the colorful sunbeams you caught. :toast:

Being someone who works at a very remote outpost with similar views and dramatic sunsets, I could immediately relate with this beautiful picture. Love the capture and everything about it.

Nice mood to this Karsten. The large version is much better with nice detail in the fore ground and that beauty of a sky. Beautiful job on this.
