Lamar Valley Badger
by Jerry Austin
I was standing on the riverbank in the Lamar Valley and I noticed a fresh burrow very close to me. After standing there a few minutes, I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. This badger slowly emerged from the burrow and looked around. He starred at me, but wasn't the least bit concerned. He eventually came out of the burrow and started to make his rounds, looking for food I assume. It was nice to capture him this close. This was certainly all about being at the right place at the right time.
