Fall colors in the background. Cropped to about 80% of the original. I thought to crop it some more to clean out some of the light colored sky, but I think the butterfly holds it's own here, so let it be.

Nikon D200 1/90 sec at f/8 ISO 200

Thanks for taking a look. Your comments are welcome and appreciated.

Gorgeous, Sanjay. Love the combination of colors and the way the contrasting orange bf pops from the bg. I also really like the spread wings pose of the bf, and the bf's position in the frame. My thoughts on the white in the bg match yours. I think it's acceptable and I wouldn't want to change the comp. Top notch image. I like this one a lot. I think it would look great hanging on the wall. :toast:

Sanjay, what a beautiful picture. The orange color of the butterfly helps it stand out among many nice photos in the thumbnail taller view.

What would you think about re-cropping to leave just a tiny space to the left of the left-center green leaf? It is right on the edge of the frame.

Beautiful colour combination! Sweet detail and perspective. The upper left is just a bit bright to me; you might consider toning it down just a hair.
But excellent as is - congrats on the WP!
