Another Spring shot of the same azaleas as in my previous post - this time from a slightly closer viewpoint but still just under a cedar tree. A couple of yellow poppies have strayed into the picture too !

Canon 7D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 55mm, 1/30 sec @ f10, - 0.67ev, ISO 400, hh.

A fine composition Ian. I particularly like the overhanging boughs on the viewer's left matched against the small trunks of the bushes on the viewer's right. Rich color and I like the energy in the many diagonals as well as the sense of movement created. It's not busy though just vibrant and that matches the colors and processing. I also like the depth created by the layering. As usual with your work, I get a definite sense of space. Beautiful photography and scene.

I like this comp better, Ian. A little more space to view the great azaleas. Just lovely.

The large version seems soft for some reason?

Beautiful garden setting with a nice verity of color. I am a bit torn as to whether I like the branches on the top or not.

This one appeals to me a bit more than the last one. A great atmosphere about the shot, wonderful colors, and the branches are a bit less imposing. I like the scene a lot Ian. Nicely done.

A magical image of a magical place. I love the colors. The larger image makes me feel like I'm there. I think I would prefer it without the overhanging boughs.
