CANON 7D, SIGMA 300-800, 1/320th sec at f8 and iso400. Hide

It's taken me nearly 9 years to get a decent image of this species.
I've spent over 30 hours in my hide now to get just 2/3 mins shooting
but that doesn't matter. I'm hoping they stay around and even nest
around this pool. The pool is quite dark so there is not much I can
do about the background.

The KF stands out really nice against the black BG. You are a patient man  and it paid off ! Congrats, cheers, Hans

Sweet image, Graham. While the head turn might not be to some tastes, I like the rather pensive looking (anthropomorphic, I know) pose in this image. The dark bg works just fine for me.

A great little bird that you have highlighted eloquently against the black background. Congrats on the patience because it paid off!

Hey Graham,
They say "Good things come to those who wait" and this is truly proof of that.
I also like the background, the colors, the perch and the pose as well.
