Hydrangea and Peacock

Our last flora workshop session was this afternoon. Fun time... no rain! Went outside for this setup of hydrangeas that were snipped w/a peacock feather. A minor amount of setting up ...and ...click.

Zeiss 35 mm at F22 and 0.8 sec shutter, 100 ISO, Nikon d800e... If ever a photo would have the moire problem, the feather should have been it...in the camera back ..it looked bad...but, up on the screen it was fine.

An over load of colors. Looks like a kaleidoscope.

It looks fine to me, Ken ! Lovely composition, great textures and colours, and nicely framed. No nits really ( though just wonder about a higher placement of the feather - very subjective ). Really well done !!

Outstanding arrangement, Ken.Love the colors and design. Personally, better balance with about 10 - 15% off the top, but that's just me.

Ken - Just fantastic  - the slightly muted backdrop colors really help the peacock feather stand out even more.

Beautiful, Ken! Agree on the moiré. I was curious how the D800E would do with that.
Wonderful arrangement, color and sharpness. Great work!

Beautiful image Ken. Love the color, light and mood. Great photography and I suspect equally fine processing.

The hydrangeas alone would have been great, but the feather is a real treat. Another fine arrangement, Ken.
