Bull Moose Fall Color

I timed my visit to Grand Teton National Park, hoping for fall color, and to photograph moose. In this photo I was able to enjoy both. There is a small crop, primarily to get rid of OOF sagebrush in the foreground. The tongue is out because this bull was courting a cow and I noted they stick the tongue out frequently as they follow the cow. Comments always appreciated.

1DIV, EF600, ISO 800, f7.1, 1/250, WB Cloudy, Tripod, minor PS adjustments.

You have great detail in the moose's coat and antlers, not always an easy thing to get right, IMHO. The BG is a little busy, but I do not find in objectionable. The sticking the tongue out is all part of checking for receptive female moose. Hope this guy found moose love! Thanks for sharing.

This is a beauty Ralph! Nice variety of trees and sage colors and textures and of course a good bull. Sharpness and other technical stuff looks spot on as usual Ralph. :toast:

That is one very large and handsome Shiras moose Ralph  Nice feel for the autumn habitat depicted in this photo. Great pose and sharp detail.

Sweet Photo!!!

Ralph,
Whilst the BG may not be very helpful, I feel it in no way distracts from this magnificent image :toast: :toast:

You did a fine job of isolating him from this very busy background. My only wish would have been for more visibility/or separation of the front legs.
