Dusted with Gold

This is a frame captured a few seconds before my last post, "Cradled from Above". I liked the forms in the rocks on the bottom right, and also, the little stream winding its way down the mountain under the clouds above. I was only able to take two images of this scene, as we were speedily passing by, but still enjoyed the short time to view it very much.

Canon 60d 10-22mm @ 22mm
ISO 250 --- f/4.5 --- 1/500sec --- handheld

This is best viewed LARGE.

Great color, sense of depth and composition. Really well done especially considering how fast you had to work.

Easily the best of your aerial shots. Superb in all respects!

Wonderful diagonals and the tonal range pretty amazing. Not much I can suggest to improve, maybe darken the URC cloud just a hair. Lovely abstract.

I would love to see this much larger, as it has suffered from compression a bit. Very well done! :toast:

This is my favorite of this series so far, Nathan. I like the perspective here combined with the way that you have portrayed the scale. The layers of color are beautiful and the clouds are icing on the cake. This is great work, Nathan!! :toast:

Nice cap, beautiful colors and comp. And the view into the river is perfect.

I've been enjoying these images so much that I forgot to comment on them. My eyes are too busy just enjoying the views. Can't suggest anything to make this better, I love everything about it.

Another beautiful shot from this outing Nathan, great color and comp, and the there's a wonderful sense of depth to this image. I will say that I prefer the previous shot you posted from here, but for me that one would be hard to beat!

Thanks, everyone! The geology is certainly fascinating around there, and the atmosphere makes it even better...

Terrific scene with all the colors on the slopes, the angled river, and just the right amount of clouds.
