Classic Maroon

I've been trying to get a classic Maroon Bells image for 4 years. This year it all came together last Saturday...time of day. location, light, color, perfect reflection. I know it's a much posted image but I felt this showed the Bells True Beauty. I included the image here because there are several people n the far foreground. Thanks for looking!

I'd say you found that classic shot Jack. The snow on the mountain contrasted with the fall colors is dreamlike. Perfect reflection as well. I guess I could ask for there to be clouds, but this image doesn't even need them. Just a wonderful classic scene.

Your persistence definitely paid off. The light dusting of snow on lake sides along with the yellows in the trees, strong blue sky and the perfect reflection really make this a solid image, Remove any one of those components and the image would lose a lot of its appeal.

Beautiful shot Jack, everything came together well. I think the foreground looks better as it is than if it had been the same color as the sky, it makes it more unique to me.

Great shot, Jack. Love it. Beautiful scene with strong saturated colors (polarizer?), nice diagonals, and a sharp reflection. Hard to ask for more.

The fall foliage complements the blue sky nicely. A gorgeous rendition of the Bells. A few little areas in the snow seem just a little hot which is the tiniest criticism I can come up with here.

Gorgeous Jack! I so wish I was there in person, but this is surely the next best thing.

Nice shot, Jack! Ideal conditions for this icon. I was wondering why this was M&N, but I viewed the large version from 3 inches away and found the people!

Can a reflection be too perfect? Well, I don't know, but this one really is perfectly sharp - indeed, it seems to have more details and contrast than the original (on my monitor at least) So my eyes are pulled to the reflection more than to the mountain itself. Other than that, gorgeous shot - great colors.

Got to be one of the best Maroon Bells shots that I've ever seen! Of course, my tired old eyes first read the title as Classic Moron and I had to see why.

Great job, and dedication to a spot as well. This may be a classic composition, but the light skiff of snow and the fall foliage combined with mid-day sun and blue sky make this unique for me. No nits anywhere from me.
