Actual title was "Enjoying the View on Thompson Pass".

Eli & Deva on one of our hikes up the mountain. We were in the shadows but a lot of surrounding vista had some sunlight.

As usual, the larger version has a lot more presence.

Sony DSC-R1, ISO-160, f11.0, 1/250

Lovely view, Gary, especially with the foreground flowers. The dogs provide a nice size reference and it's neat that they're both "looking at the view" as well. You've got them well trained.

Great comp in this shot with lots of pleasing elements. The foreground flowers really add a nice pop of color and interest. My one minor comp nit, though, is the rock in the bottom left corner. . .it keeps pulling my eye. A slight crop up from the bottom to get rid of the rock and also cut out some of the brown vegetation below the flowers might be helpful. I like how the dogs seem to viewing the far off scene. They look like they would be wonderful companions.

Thank you, Mark & Carolyn for the comments & critiques. Thought I'd let you know that the dogs looking at the view isn't an accident. They actually have better vision than I do and always go for the best (highest) vantage points so that they can enjoy the view. They will stand and just look for many long minutes before moving on to the next viewpoint. I think they appreciate the scenery every bit as much as I do.
