Future for the Tiger?

The tiger is a true icon for wildlife conservation. The disturbing fact that most of its habitat is lost for various reasons. Development is one of them. The tiger hangs on ispite of all odds. This image brings out the contrast how precarious things are for the tiger. This image was shot in a Tiger Reserve in South India.
Eco-tourism is a great tool to bring focus on conservation issues of the Tiger into public realm and thereby mould public perception.

Certainly tells a story and illustrates the plight of large carnivores. Thanks for sharing. Do think it would make a good posting for the EPJ gallery.

Interesting setting, and the photo tells the story well. Certainly appropriate for EPJ or M&N.

Great piece of photo-journalism. It really emphasises the plight the tiger is in.

The setting is just plain depressing, right down to the orange/grey sky and serves to emphasize your point. So sad to see less industrialized countries falling into the same trap that has destroyed habitat and in turn the wildlife of North America. I hope "public perception" can some how effect positive change.

To my thinking, this is a strong story telling image, very well suited as enviro-photo-journalism. I think you managed all the technical choices very well, too.
