This waterfall in the Fiji islands can be reached at the end of a beautiful walk by swimming a short way up the river into a widening chamber which houses 2 waterfalls (one of which is visible here)

Late morning, the light just breaks through the canopy illuminating parts of the river…

Gorgeous comp and light Karsten! There are some purples in the waterfall that might work better with some desaturation

This is a very nice image full of great elements and a great composition. A lot of character in the rock cliff and a nice reflection. Well done. Chet

Mysterious lighting -the purple in the waterfall as Navin mentioned and selected rocks on the wall are my only nits. There also seems to be an odd vertical line that separates what seems to be a veil of spray  from above. Since it is in the reflection, must be natural but just a little odd. Gorgeous lighting.

Very nice reflected light. Aside from the purple cast in the waterfall, I find it to be a tad right heavy. I think the reflection takes center stage here. Great shot! :toast:

SWEET! Perfectly saturated and beautiful light. I agree with the waterfall color cast comments, but that should be an easy fix.

Very nicely done. And such a sweet spot. I like how the rock face is illuminated by the reflections on the water (at least that is what I suppose is happening).

Beautiful light and I like the composition Karsten. The rock wall is a very nice leadin. Very well done. :toast:

The reflections are very nice (I like their soft edges) and help draw the eye to the left half of the image. I feel like a hefty crop of the right wall would be a benefit though. Besides the purple cast in the falls, there seem to be some purple spots on the wall also.

Thanks guys for pointing out the colour cast on waterfall and rocks... I was so focused on removing a heavy green cast that I did not pay attention. Here is a repost

Real nice, beautiful light. I am still seeing some magenta in the waterfall in your repost, though.

This a very nice composition, Karsten. I agree regarding removing the magenta from the water and rocks. If you're using Photoshop, you could use a Selective Color adjustment layer working on the whites to remove the color cast.

Very peaceful image.

What a beautiful little paradise. I find that although the reflections on the rocky wall are pretty, the amount of compositional space given to them leads to an uneasy tension, rather than the relaxing calm I would like to get from such a spot. Is there some kind of wall just in front of the falls, or is that just an incredibly straight rock? It took me a while to figure out what was going on there!

Thanks for all your valuable input, guys

Floris, there are 2 fairly straight natural rocks on either side of the "entrance" to the waterfall.
Preston, thanks for your PS advice, I learned s.th. new - hope to have removed most of the magenta cast now
Jeffrey, taking the image did not involve swimming anywhere with my gear, I went into the water with tripod and reef shoes and it worked alright
Chris, Doug and Floris - take your point about the size of the wall - I do like the tension that comes with it, but agree that a crop improves the image and have cropped as much as I feel comfortable with

Friggin paradise found! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Yes, I'd desaturate the magenta/purple in the falls too.
