Summer Flower

I think this is a Dahlia. I did some burning in the upper bg to get rid of some distracting elements. My goal was to leave just a hint of what was in the bg because I feel that having it completely black might not look right in this image.

Yes, a dahlia, Barb, and a beauty at that. Well composed, taken, and processed.

A beautiful photo that enhances the beauty of the flower: the hope of the floral photographer. The work on the colors is great. I like the way the petals look very sharp and soft at the same time. Barb, the photo is splendid.
Take care.

Barb - One of your best, easily. Apart from the flower which is obviously gorgeous I really like the management of the foliage at the base.

Pure Eye Candy

So beautiful, Barb ! Light and colour of great intensity - with the bud to the side of the flower somehow adding to the overall effect.

That is a stunning flower, with terrific details and a wonder color palette. I also like the bud peeking out alongside.
