Thank you for your comments on my Tarn Rock Collection image.

This is a detail of Cascade Creek in Yosemite. Thanks to Harley who loaned me his Fujinon 450mm lens so that I could make this image.

Very nice comp and nice SS and detail.
There are some blues in the water, not sure if that was on purpose?

Beautiful execution of a classic theme. The details in the mini cascades on the upper portion of the center rock give the scene added interest.

Real nice image, Preston. It is well composed and nicely balanced and is a fine little waterfall scene.

Hi All,

Thanks for your comments so far.

Based upon Dan's comment above, and an off-line comment from Harley, I pulled down the saturation on the blues and cyans.

The difference between this one and the original is slight, but noticeable.

Thanks, gents!

Beautiful, so much grace in the flow of the water. I would like to see a bit more or a bit less of the roundish rock on the left side but that's probably just me. It's lovely as is.

I do see a slight difference with the re post, you nailed it in my opinion. Beautiful little cascade, and beautifully presented. Really nice Preston.

Wonderful intimate cascade here, Preston. I think you left just about the right amount of room top and bottom. The fanning out of the cascades and shutterspeed is excellent too. Glad Harley had the "big gun" and was nice enough to loan it out for this capture. Nice work.
I feel the second one is the ticket here too.

Preston,

Excellent image with this intimate and compact image of these cascades. Very slight difference, but I can tell the difference in the repost. Not a big deal at all, but almost feel it's a little constrained on the bottom. Then again, the bottom is consistent with the tops and sides, so it all works out. Well done sir.

I really like the patterns in the falling water, Preston... am not entirely sold on the cut off boulders in the comp... I could see a crop just on top of the main falls to put more emphasis on the rays of water

Great details and textures in this Preston and I like the tight comp. The repost is perfect and a wonderful intimate scene. Well done.

Your exposure for the water motion is perfect IMO Preston. Graceful and elegant like a wedding veil.
