Tranquil Morning

This image is one I made on the same morning as my last post. I had hiked a ways back to this place along the Wisconsin River and just really enjoyed the time I spent there on that early morning last week. I made this shot a little earlier than the previous post and liked the tranquil mood and feel of this one very much. Thanks for any thoughts and for all of your comments on the last one as well.

Nice Nick! Really soft light, delicate grass... the feeling of tranquility is really apparent here

Pretty Nick. I can hear the crickets and bugs waking up to the fresh morning. I really like the stillness of the water. The only thing that would make this better would be me to be in my canoe paddling in there.

WOW, what a mesmerizing and inviting image Nick. I'm thinking we're some sort of lost kindred souls as your eye for compositions really strikes a cord with me. If I ever get up to your neck of the woods I'll be looking you up for guide services. Thanks for sharing.

It's really great when we get a break with the lighting such as you had this morning, Nick. The fog helped delay the harsh morning direct light providing you ample time to take in two locations and both turned out to be very productive captures. Nice work again here with this scene.

I like the early morning a lot. This image really portrays the peaceful feeling of a calm early morning. The mist adds a nice element.

Tranquil is the right word to describe this. Everything looks great but I don't think this is one of your more evocative images.

That soft light and the fog give this image a wonderful, peaceful feel, Nick. Great use of diagonals and nice lush greens. The joy you felt being at this spot on this morning really seems to come through.

You own the foggy landscape. Add so much to your images. Looks like this was a successful venture. The green really pop, the far bank maybe a bit too sat.? but balanced well with the near grasses. I that a leaf of a butterfly in the FG? Hard to tell on the LG version. Well done.

Thanks so much guys! I'm very glad the quiet and peaceful feel of this morning came through in this image.
Harry, This is so close to what I remember seeing I kind of hate to lower the saturation of the green along the bank, but I can also understand you thinking it could be a little saturated just from looking at this image. In this light it just had a wonderful glow that really appealed to me. Maybe lowering it just a bit would work however. That would be cool if that were a butterfly but it is just a leaf as I remember and the little red spot closer to the lrc is a small flower. Thanks to all of you! Nick
