I am still battling my way through my images from Khwai Community Reserve, most of them so far are Leopards
This was taken around sunset.

Great to hear that there are still places in the world where such beautiful cats are thriving. This photo is just fantastic in my opinion, what an attractive perch and stunning pose. Regal looking animal and very alert gaze! The slight back- lighting is unusual, in a good way. Might be interpreted as too dark, but I like the subtle effect.

(I see you traded up to the new EPS 1SX, that's the one you can operate with mits on right? )

Nice capture Ken. Your leopard looks very regal sitting up there.
Composition works well.
The only suggestion I have is that it might be possible to reduce the brightness on that patch of sky to all a bit more colour on the leopard.

Leopards are beautiful cats. Very relaxed pose with good eye contact. You handle and not so easy exposure situation with what appears to be some heavy back lighting very well. Fine image.

Excellent low-light image quality. The details appear to just illuminated enough, giving us those little nicks in her ears. Very enjoyable image.

Thanks everybody for your kind comments.
The processing here was a little experimental for me

You are raining leopards on us, Ken! I might darken the bright areas of the bg, though, and brighten up the leopard's face a wee bit. I see you are having fun with the new 200-400 lens! But, do enlighten me on the EPS 1SX!

Nicely done Ken! You handled the lighting situation very well, I see you are making good use of your new 200-400 F4.
