White-crowned Sparrow
by Josiah Launstein
Hi! I took this picture in the spring, but we've been really busy and I didn't have a chance to post until now.
This is a white-crowned sparrow I photographed in Waterton Lakes National Park. We had pulled over on one of the roads to look for bears when all of the sudden this guy flew to a perch right beside me! I took a bunch of pictures because he was posing like crazy. He flew off but all the sudden came right back, except this time with a moth in its beak! I was very happy he chose a clear perch for me!
I hope you like it! Thanks for looking!

Josiah's learned to choose appropriate apertures and watch his histograms, so he made his own decisions on this one!
