A soft caper flower

The favorite place where the capers grow are the Roman walls all around my town.

At sunset, against the red briks of the Roman walls in Rimini.

D200, Nikkor 200mm macro - f/4,5 and ISO 160

I am trying to understand how the D200 works. In my last post I experimented a very dark photo and now a very luminous one. Your impressions are very important for me. Thanks.

Very pretty, Giuseppi. I like the soft pastel colors with a few bits of hot pink and lime green. Very pleasant!

Gorgeous and captivating, Gigi. Top notch floral image, IMO. You don't seem to be missing a beat without your D700. :toast:

Gigi - Very very pretty. What a eye candy !!. The flower itself is highly aesthetic and your choice of DOF and the background really puts it over the top

The green pod is bursting open with a puff a smoke, revealing the fireworks' colorful streamers, all with a cherry on top as the final exclamation point. The background soft pastels add greatly to the total mood of the image as well. Its almost midnight... guess my mind is working overtime. Unusual flower, presented beautifully!

Very beautiful and crisp. I love the colors here.
I used to have the D200 and it did very well for me. You can't brighten the images too much without serious noise, but all my images up to last November were with the 200 (which is pretty much all the ones I've ever posted in this gallery!). I have found it is good around ISO 200 and not good at all above ISO400. Have fun!

Exquisite light and colour, Gigi ! The emphasis on the stigma and stamens and the top of the stem makes for a most beautiful effect.
