Green Heron with a small fish and a lot vegetation. Jumped from a low perch into the water an flew back with a fish. Nikon D800, 500mm, ISO 800, f6.3, Shutter 1/800. Thanks, critique appreciated. Ray

This is a dandy! I love the action pose and flying droplets. Nice and sharp where it counts and enough blur in the wings to really give it a feel of motion. Love this image! Sharon

Neat capture Ray.
Nice and sharp around the head with a wonderfully vivid eye. The raised feathers on top of the head and the alert expression give the bird a completely different appearance to its normal pose.
The colours also stand out really well.
