Wahlella Falls

I've worked this Columbia Gorge falls repeatedly, but just never liked how it looked in the 1/4 to 1 sec range capture that usually pleases me for falls. This is a bit quicker at 1/20, not quite frozen. I think this captures the power of Wahclella pretty well.
Canon 5DMk2, iso 400, f16, 1/20sec, 16-35mm at 16mm, polarizer. 2 vertical images pano, then cropped to square.

I think you nailed it this time, Daniel. I like the finished capture overall. Looks like your revisits and thoughtful adjustments worked very well in the end.

Gorgeous image. I like the colors and the composition. The faster speed works well here.
The large version is a delight!

Great composition, and you chose an excellent shutter speed that not only shows the falls well but also works well in the ripples. I can almost hear and feel the power here!
I do find the sky present distracting, though. Croppping down an inch or so not only removes that distraction, but adds an element of mystery to the falls as they seemingly appear from nowhere in particular. Just a thought...

Nice, Daniel. Good color, and nice detail. I agree with John about the bit of sky showing. The white water looks good with nice whites and plenty of detail.

I agree this is a tough falls to shoot up close with the large fast volume of water that comes out. At first I was not a fan of the faster shutter speed yet taking that into account I think this looks good. Nice take on this place. I do agree that the sky is a tad hot if you can tone that down.

This is a very tough Waterfall to shoot and you did well.
I might have gone a tad slower and maybe just took some off the top to get rid of the sky and go with a more trad crop.
The FG looks great.

Nicely done image Daiel and the large version is very nice. I like the shutter speed you chose and the comp. I would agree to a crop from the top but wonderful as is.

Guys,
For what it's worth I am sure that the "sky" mentioned is an upper area of those falls.....but I agree with the crop suggestion in this image.
