This was taken few weeks ago during our last trip to Burren National Park, County Clare, Ireland.
Burren is one of the largest karst landscapes in Europe. The region measures approximately 250 square kilometres.

Large version provided.

Thanks for your passage and comments.

Very nice comp, using the lines in the rock beds to pull the eye into the image. I like the conceptual contrast between the ephemeral flowering plants and the enduring solidity of the rock. Nice mood also. well done. Chet

I love the bright color of the bushes (are they cinquefoil?) against the somber stone. Nice work

Nice positioning of the the plants and cracks in the rocks leading me into the image. Looks like a quite barren area. Maybe a little more contrast and detail in the sky but very nice as is.

I like the triangle formed by the three prominent flowering plants and the cracks in the limestone. I'd like to see this with a slight boost in contrast. This looks like great country!

D&L;

A really neat looking place to take some landscape shots of such as this fine capture here. As always the larger version works so much better for the details. I think I might add a tiny bit of contrast / saturation here. Regardless, a very nice capture IMO. :cool:

What an unusual landscape. I never would have thought it was Ireland. I like the lines and flowers. What is "karst"?
I understand what some others said about contrast, but I also prefer to keep things as much like they really were as possible, and many on here increase the saturation and contrast beyond that. It makes for an image that stands out, but at the cost of being true to the scene. I like your way. :smile:
